What are the role’s responsibilities?

• Design, Build, Evolve, and Operate SRE-owned services for the TradeZero Reliability team.
• Provide L3/L2 support for TradeZero’s engineering and development teams for all production services.
• Refactor existing SRE-owned offerings and strive to make them self-service for consumers.
• Collaborate with tech leads to educate them on / ensure their designs conform to TradeZero best practices.
• Lower support / toil tasks to support via runbooks and automations.

What would it look like to meet those responsibilities well?

• Designs and recommended improvements are clear and communicated effectively to consumers.
• Designs improve performance and/or reliability of production services.
• Releases are automated, pass through CI/CD and SDLC, are well understood, and have unit and integration tests for critical components and performance thresholds, respectively.
• Refactoring of critical production services happens with a regular cadence (i.e. no rushed EOL scenarios).
• Refactoring of production services yields continual improvement of MTBI and MTTR.
• SRE Support provides real-time transparency into the health of all production TradeZero services.
• SRE services standardize use cases and lead to less (measurable) issues/risk with software releases.

• Someone who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
• Someone ability to deal with ambiguity; Someone able to escalate effectively.
• Someone highly experienced with distributed systems at scale.
• Someone with prior startup / fintech / trading / SaaS experience.

Technical skills though:

• Fluent in at least one of the following coding languages: C#, Python, Java.
• SQL experience, more data/data querying than database administration / operations here.
• Prior working experience with both Windows/Linux distributed systems.

Salary: From ₹35,000.00 per month
