The Data Sciences team at Flipkart is on a mission to build systemic intelligence across Flipkart products and the overarching ecosystem. As a Technical Program Manager within the Data Science org, you will be responsible for driving large, complex technical initiatives to help meet Product, Tech and Business goals. Your role will include aligning stakeholders, providing technical views, planning and executing against the product and tech strategy. You will communicate with cross-functional partners across the company, each with their own priorities and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with DS, Product, Tech and Operations Leaders in understanding long term capabilities and initiatives that need to be managed in-line with Organizational goals
Engage with other teams across Flipkart to evangelize the team and your projects, to build relationships and help identify existing technologies/processes that can be leveraged to meet your team’s goals
Own and execute E2E the SDLC for one or more top level key technical initiatives by partnering with Project Sponsors, other Technical Program Managers and multiple development teams
Partner with Data Scientists and Architects and drive high-quality technical solutions, and provide inputs regarding architecture, design, and priorities
Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints
Clearly articulate & communicate vision, plans and project status to Flipkart Leadership Team and key technical and business stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline
6+ years of experience in program management or software development experience building commercial software applications
Experience leading large, cross-functional technical programs that addressed end customer’s pain points and business outcomes directly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline
Proven industry experience in developing practical AI applications, including NLU
Strong knowledge of business and technical acumen
Experience in partnering with Senior Leadership & driving Strategic Initiatives
