Job Requirements :
– Experiencer with networking and storage
– Understands with virtualization
– Know at least one coding language (Java or JavaScript, Python preferred)
– Experience with Containerization
– Experience with Automation, (Chef and Shell Scripting)
– In-depth knowledge of Ubuntu
– Good communication skills and the ability to bridge between SysOps and Development
Responsibilities :
– Manages the asset (network, firewalls, servers and data stores) to ensure these assets function as designed, are properly scaled to work together to deliver a hosted solution for our end-users.
– DR – Configure Company Production assets facilitate BAU for our customers in the event of a system failure. Configure Company Production assets to facilitate a scheduled DR test.
– Incident management – Manage all Incidents; Conducts conference call to resolve issues, troubleshoots incident until resolution, communicates to end users status, documents incident, and owns completing RCA, ServiceNow conformance
– Monitoring
– Logs – Reviews logs daily, cleans/stores/deletes logs as necessary (Company and AWS)
– Trends – Reviews log trends to see if there are issues building, communicates to DevOps team issue fixes, communicates to SysOps automation suggestions (Company Data Centers)
– Thresholds – Monitors and troubleshoots set thresholds on assets to prevent outages, communicates to management if additional assets are needed (Company Data Centers and AWS)
– Patch management – Patch all Servers, Datastore assets, network appliances, laptops per qualified patch schedule (Company Data Centers and AWS)
– Desktop Image – Build required Desktops and Laptops for End Users at Company or if necessary our client End Users
– Desktop support – Troubleshoot/resolve Desktop and Laptop issues
