Key Accountabilities & deliverables

Data Understanding & management

• Understand the requirement, the efficiency and limitations of system to design a transformation pipeline

• Work closely on the data, by querying & transforming the data set to make it available to users in required structure and form

• Write complex transformation queries that can be used for process automation & incremental data load

• Use best of query and coding(python) worlds to design efficient transformation logics

• Understand the efficiency factor of query and python and work-around to avoid heavy functions

Data Analysis

• Perform basic data analysis by understanding key business problems

Power BI Visualization

• Work on end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboard development
• Understanding business problem/objective, developing wireframes & designing appropriate data strategy
• Post development, manage reports for refresh, add alerts and alarms to the reports to keep a track

Power BI Admin

• Own the admin jobs of Power BI and take necessary actions in case of issues

Project Management

• Perform data extraction, data transformation, data modelling, maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards, performance metrics and other leading edge analytical systems that support key business decisions
• Approach problems and issues structurally so as to find the root cause of the issues in data/processes
• Understand, manage and own complex data transforming processes

Essentials

Qualification

Graduate from an institute of repute

Additional qualification like MBA or certification/course in data science will be preferable.

Experience

Overall experience of 4+ years in data management, with minimum 3+ years of experience as Power BI developer

Know-how

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complicated and large amounts of data with business insights Experience in working with datasets in databases with SQL language
• Should have hands-on experience of handling databases efficiently
• Expertise in writing queries to transform data as required
• Experience of guiding relatively new members in Power BI
• Strong technical expertise in Power BI-Power Query & DAX, best practices for visualization & developing optimized backend architecture
• Should be keen in the updates of Power BI and implement new features in ongoing projects
• Good to have knowledge of AWS cloud and related components for data manipulation, transformation etc
• Good to have working knowledge of Power BI Premium
• Candidates with expertise in Python coding will be preferred
• Good sense of ownership and a team player
