The eCommerce team at Client is looking for a Data Scientist/Sr. Data Scientist who would provide key insights to help answer critical business questions for the B2B SMB and 4P/Pricing Analytics team.
This position is responsible to deliver key analytics projects under the guidance of the Analytics Manager/Director, that will create enormous impact to the business, with the help of cutting-edge analytics tools and techniques. This will involve working with a cross functional team of individuals to understand the business problems, scope the possible solution and create an execution plan for the recommendation.
1. Marketing DS Position:
- Need someone with Marketing/Customer Analytics background (e.g. segmentation, propensity, market mix models etc.)
- Generate consumer insights for the marketing team, and be adept at running both analysis as well as DS scripts on Python/R
2. 4P DS Position:
- Need someone with pricing analytics/optimization and/or sales forecasting experience
- Needs to be highly proficient in running codes with minimal guidance
3. For Data Science role, we need a minimum of 5years analytics experience who has better experience of handling projects themselves and capable of suggesting ideas on how to proceed on any project/use case.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the business team with data driven insights combining market and internal sales trends
- Define and measure KPIs and recommend improvements to grow the business
- Research and apply multidisciplinary statistical techniques, findings and approaches to solutions driving the business understanding of its market, its internal operations, and its opportunities
- Perform Exploratory Data Analyses and devise data/statistical models to provide predictive and prescriptive insights to the business
- Help develop a Data Science/ML/Analytics acumen within the larger B2B business team, training them towards full adoption by connecting the dots between statistical and business concepts
- Narrate compelling stories and present the insights / findings developed
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters in any quantitative disciplines such as Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Computer Science or Finance from a top tier University required
- 2-4 years of analytics or data science or business analytics related working experience (4-6 years for Sr. Data Scientist)
- Possesses good business acumen, with a clear understanding of B2B business or Pricing in general and eCommerce, Digital Analytics and PC industry in particular
- Should be comfortable in undertaking and delivering projects covering Exploratory Data Analysis (40%), Reporting Automation (30%), Statistical Analyses & Modelling (30%)
- Must-have skills:Han ds-on experience in SQL, R/Python, Excel, PowerPoint
- Preferred skills:Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Tableau/Power BI
