Job Location: Hyderabad/Secunderabad
We’re hiring a Power BI developer/lead to work with our clients (including Fortune 500 companies) in India, USA and Canada.
If you have an willingness to learn, and have the right balance between ‘follow instruction’ and ‘use own judgement’, we would love to hear from you.
What you will do :
- Use your Power BI skills to develop awesome, insightful reports/dashboards for clients to solve their problems
- Talk to clients and team lead to understand what questions to be answered with those reports
- Sometimes, run queries in SQL tables to check if you got the numbers right
- Other times, validate results with Excel
- Quality is critical – test reports/dashboards to ensure good quality
- Help the junior guys learn tips and tricks
Additional expectations from the position
- Power BI releases too many features too many times. At least read through and be aware of those regularly.
- Power BI. is great. but not enough. Learn additional tools like Knime, Tableau
- When you start, you have fixed working hours – 10 AM to 6:30 pm (but once we feel confident, hours will become flexible)
Requirements:
3+ years developing reports and data visualizations in Microsoft Power BI
- Intermediate Power BI skills – ability to develop a good dashboard with minimal design guidance and limited help with DAX calculations/formulas
Create DAX calculations
Create reports/dashboards – charts, tables, interactivity, formatting
Explore and Analyze data – find actionable insights
Format reports/dashboards
Know Power BI concepts – relationships, data tables
