• Should have good knowledge on Advanced Linux architecture.
• Should have good knowledge on Storage technologies and sub systems.
• Should have good knowledge on Hadoop (Cloudera, MAPR, Hortonworks)
• Should have good knowledge on Big Data tools (MapReduce, Hbase, Sqoop, flume, hive, pig, spark etc.)
• Should have good knowledge on Hadoop development which includes : Data Ingestion, Data processing/Analytics, Data Governance, Data Security, Report generation
• Should have good knowledge on scripting (shell, python, Scala and XML)
• Should have good knowledge on Google Cloud/ AWS
• Should have good knowledge on OEM hardware solutions.
• Should have good knowledge on Pentaho, Informatica
• Should be able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Should be able to clearly articulate the pros and cons of various technologies and platforms.
• Should be able to document use cases, solutions and recommendations.
• Should be able to help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of implementing projects of any kind.
• Should be able to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the solution.
• Should be able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Should be able to work in teams, as a big data environment is developed in a team of employees with different disciplines.
• Should be able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
