DATA ENGINEER
LOCATION : New York, New Jersey
Job Description: An individual contributor role working independently or as a part of project delivery team,
responsible for understanding the client requirements and translating into technical specifications,
confirming feasibility, taking ownership of tasks in Tableau, and suggesting/integrating best practices.
He/she will be responsible for designing and implementing the solution, providing estimates, and
testing in order to check the quality of the deliverables.
Required Skills:
5-8 years of hands-on experience in designing and optimizing Tableau dashboards that are highly visual,
interactive, and performant.
Passion for Analytics and helping others access and utilize their data.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in: Visual best-practices, LODs, table calculations, and parameter actions.
Designing wireframes taking a user-centric approach to build intuitive products and iterate quickly to land on
an efficient design.
SQL experience and ability to write complex queries.
Experience in data modeling concept and using ETL tools such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep, JavaScript or Python.
Understanding of user security using Tableau and Tableau Server functionalities for user management and
permissions.
Experience with at least one of the following: Teradata, Oracle, Hive, MS SQL, IBM DB2.
Experience working with third party tools for Tableau such as TabJolt, Logshark etc.
Exposure to cloud technologies such as Google BQ, AWS, Snowflake etc.
Experience in web design languages (HTML, CSS, etc.) is a plus.
