The Data Analyst I is a full-time position, which provides a bridge between specific business objectives and the data solutions needed to support them. Data Analysts require knowledge of data systems and structures throughout the data lifecycle, from warehousing to analytics. Data Analysts play a pivotal role in ensuring data is translated into actionable insights to improve business outcomes. Interpersonal and communication skills are also critical to this role, as partnerships with business owners are necessary to fully understand the business need and develop the appropriate reports, analytics, and insights.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary Responsibilities:
Demonstrated an entry level proficiency in SQL to create, update, and modify objects in lower development and QA environments
Exibit a familiarity with Relational DB structures and concepts
Demonstrated efficiency in Data reporting tools such as PBI, Tableau, SSRS, etc.
Advanced in the use of Excel and Power Pivot
Responsible for the development, refinement, and or modification of data assets
Development of Stored Procedures, Views, and Tables in lower development environments
Update and Modify existing SSAS models
Provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers
Perform UAT testing, collaborating with peers and business representatives as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
Initial Code review of other Analyst SQL scripts
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Highly analytical and creative thinker
Ability to learn and teach new programming languages and frameworks
1-2 years of industry experience as a Reporting Analyst
Entry level proficiency in SQL
Familiar with Relational DB structures and concepts
Efficiency in Data reporting tools such as PBI, Tableau, SSRS, etc.
Advanced in the use of Excel and Power Pivot
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required or comparable experience
