Data Engineer

Remote – Full Time

Purpose of this Role

We are hiring a full-time Data Engineer to support increased information and analytic needs of the organization via data transformation, dashboard development, and data analysis. This teammate will serve in the Engineering organization and work regularly with the Data Architect, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is remote or living in the Nashville metro area. This person must exhibit a strong desire to learn, a high degree of reliability, positive energy, and a self-starter mentality.

Candidates must be comfortable communicating effectively over Slack and video conferencing. This teammate will report directly to the Data Architect. Occasional travel may be requested quarterly for in-person planning meetings and strategy sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Build optimized and scalable data pipelines

• Work with business stakeholders to troubleshoot bugs

• Develop dashboards and reports to enable our business partners with information

• Build new tables to support analytics

Experience, Skills, & Personality:

• 2 years experience with Spark (preferably Scala)

• 2 additional years of varied experience with schema design, ETL, and reporting

• 2 years of cloud experience (preferably AWS)

• Proficiency in at least one programming language

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
