A health services organization in California is currently seeking an experienced BI Engineer for a promising opportunity with their growing Data Engineering & Analytics team.

***This is a Hybrid role requiring the qualified professional to work onsite every Tuesday.***

Responsibilities:

The BI Engineer will:

• Create data exchanges to help build the enterprise data warehouse and push data to BI tools to enable self-served analytics across the organization. Improving upon current framework,
• Create a data governance framework that would allow us to monitor and setup an alert/notification system to improve data quality
• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models and maintaining data dictionary and capturing metadata.
• Create and maintain automated data pipelines, data standards, and best practices to maintain integrity and security of the data; ensure adherence to developed standards.
• Develop and maintain source to target mapping, including extract requirements, derived field logic, domain values and data lineage
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in building dashboards, reports in BI/Analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field as well as equivalent work experience.
• Experience in relevant technical languages and tools, such as SQL, Python, NoSQL, Airflow, Oracle, PL/SQL, ERWIN, Snowflake, Redshift, Kinesis, Kafka, S3, Spark
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ThoughtSpot
• Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
