Senior Staff Engineer/Senior Engineering Manager – Python/Golang – IIT/NIT/BITS
What are the responsibilities of this role?
– Build backend services and APIs to create scalable engineering systems
– Work with data scientists, business analysts, and operations to define, capture, and use real-time event data for business insights and product features
– Collaborate with infrastructure engineering teams to participate in, validate, and evolve build, test, and deploy code in a distributed Service-Oriented Architecture
– Lead individual projects priorities with your technical expertise
– Collaborate cross-functionally throughout Yalo to troubleshoot challenges, remove bottlenecks, and identify new opportunities for growth
– Contribute to codebases in Ruby, Golang, and JavaScript.
– Measure the effectiveness of our engineering work and use data to drive decisions to help our users and their customers.
– Build and maintain developer SDKs that highlight standard methodologies and useful techniques, including thoughtful documentation and examples.
Experience you need to perform this role:
– 7+ years of engineering experience
– 2+ years of experience with system architecture and API design at companies known for building great products
– Work experience, open-source code, or coursework in any of the following languages: Java, C#, Python ,Django, RubyRuby on Rails. Javascripttypescript, Golang
– Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally with product and design partners
– Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application
– Experience with microarchitectures including low-level performance analysis.
– Experience with large-scale distributed systems, networking, and related software infrastructure
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Demonstrate broad technical leadership.
Plus Experience:
– Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
– Experience as Technical Lead
– Have been a Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineer before.
