BA Investment Banking-
Business Analyst:
Responsible for requirements gathering, documentation of solution design, documenting and
executing test scenarios and performing a variety of change and implementation management
activities
May work across multiple projects (use cases) simultaneously
May be required to support change management activities spanning from early change planning
and audience analysis; through to designing and delivering change interventions (e.g. ingestions,
communications, training, support, organisation alignment); tracking and taking actions on
change readiness, adoption, and feedback
They are also ultimately responsible for Implementation Management, including planning,
controlling and reporting on implementation of the change ‘product’, focusing on accelerating
benefits and minimising risk during deployment. Implementation activities will also include
managing implementation readiness and managing the early stages of implementation (e.g.
proof of concept)
Senior Business Analysts will often play a people / team management role within the projects /
programmes they work on. As senior members of their Pod, they will also have line or
assignment management responsibility for a group of more junior resources within their
resource pool (as related to their job family)

Wholesale business lines
Global and Regional Heads of business
Source systems teams (IT/Business owners)
Internal clients to facilitate effective data analysis/migration and process change and ensure
expectations are effectively managed
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Knowledge of one or more of the following domains (including market data vendors):
Party/Client
Trade
Settlements
Payments
Instrument and pricing
Market and/or Credit Risk
Preferable knowledge and experience in Data Quality & Governance
Experience of big data programmes preferable
Enthusiastic and energetic problem solver to join an ambitious team
Business analysis skills, defining and understanding requirements
Attention to detail
Good knowledge of SDLC and formal Agile processes, a bias towards TDD and a willingness to
test products as part of the delivery cycle
Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-programme environment across a range of
stakeholders
Proven track record of managing small delivery-focussed data teams
