Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrable knowledge of data science, deep learning, machine learning and data mining concepts, including neural networks, ensembles, clustering, handling missing data etc
- Fluency with Python packages for data manipulation and processing such as scikit-learn, anaconda, pandas and numpy and a tensor library such as Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch
- Maths and stats competence (e.g. regression, probability and distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, linear algebra and calculus)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- Degree in a relevant field
- Natural Language Processing
- Recommender Systems
- Optimisation, including linear programming, operations research and non-mathematical methods such as genetic algorithms, global search and meta-heuristics
- Other Python packages e.g. Scrapy, Spacy, deep, Flask
- Experience of cloud computing and containerisation
- Exposure to API and microservices architectures
- Agile software development
- Experience of other BI and data analytic tools
- Knowledge of other programming language(s)
