Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyzing and understanding the source data

• Understanding the requirements for the target system

• Work with the reporting/analytics team to understand their reporting needs

• Understanding the OLAP process

• Creating Source to Target mapping documents

• Creating ETL routines to transform and load the data as per the specifications provided

• Writing unit-test cases as per the ETL logic

• Writing SQL scripts to execute the unit-test cases and validate the data

• Creating process flows to integrate the different ETL routines as per the modules

• Follow defined standards to improve the performance of the ETL routines

• Develop strategies for resolving issues and preventing future occurrences

• Work closely with architects, team members and management to add delivery capacity for existing and upcoming projects, enable knowledge sharing, and lend depth in key areas of data warehousing, data integration and BI solutions

Skills & Experience :

• Complete Data warehouse lifecycle management

• Experience in design and implementation including data modeling for dimensional models

• Experience with normalized OLTP, MDM and dimensional modeling techniques, Star & Snowflake schemas, modeling slowly changing dimensions, dimensional hierarchies, and data classifications

• High level of experience in ETL/ELT implementation using ODI/Informatica

• Strong design and development experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

• Experience in Cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure

• Exposure to software development lifecycle and AGILE/Scrum practices

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people

• Working knowledge and understanding of OBIEE Suite (OBI Server, Dashboard and Analytics)

• Knowledge in data modeling tools like Oracle Designer, Erwin, TOAD, and DB Artisan etc.

• Any Big data experience like Hadoop/Spark, Hive
