Roles and Responsibilities
- The Client’s (IT) team is looking for a Senior Business System Analyst to join us in Pune, India.
- In this role, we are seeking an experienced functional expert who has extensive knowledge of the R12 Oracle E-Business Suite Financials family of applications.
- As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for project and enhancement delivery work for IT BEAD projects which involves work like setups for Oracle Financials, define new business requirements, provide gap analysis, and prepare detailed documentation, e.g. functional specifications for extensions, interfaces, reports, and conversions (MD50s and TE40s).

Primary job responsibilities
- Resolve complex issues, analyze situations and data that require a detailed evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and provide guidance to other associates.
- Understand business process and resolve issues to satisfy customer needs.
- Perform setups of Oracle E-Business Suite Financials software.
- Define new business requirements and provide gap analyses.
- Prepare detailed functional specifications for extensions, interfaces, reports, and conversions (MD50s and TE40s) and for the quality assurance (QA).
- Should have technical knowledge and should be able to use SQLdeveloper.
- Support production, monitor, troubleshoot, and initiate and monitor system processes.
- Initiate and follow through on Oracle service requests.
- Complete application setups to support Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), conversions, and interface extension testing.
- Develop and deliver end user training
Required skills:
- 8+ years of work experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Financials modules and broad experience implementing them globally, experience with the R12 version and the ability to configure it optimally is a big plus.
- Experience working with and understanding of complex financial integrations like banking, treasury, and reporting in U.S. GAAP and other regions like Latin America (LATAM,) Asia Pacific (APAC), and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
- Relevant experience and understanding of R12 SLA (sub-ledger accounting) accounting.
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Financials Suite modules such as AP, AR, GL, EBusiness Tax , FA, PO, iExpense, iProcurement, PA, OTL and knowledge of supporting modules is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the underlying data model in Oracle software to support analysis and issue resolution.
- Experience with similar tools like SAP BusinessObjects (BO), Reports Wand/Noetix or other reporting tools.
- Ability to work with technical team and understand and communicate technical requirements.
- Ability to manage a cross-functional team consisting of technical and non-technical associates working in different timezones.
