In this global senior manager role, the incumbent leads our rapidly growing team in Pune, Costa Rica, KL and Poland.
The team consists of technical experts in data visualisation, data engineering, data mining, analytics and reporting.
This incumbent is responsible for defining, delivering, and maintaining advanced Analytics capabilities to support decision-making and insights generation in Smith+Nephew through defining a people, technology and process roadmap and its successful implementation.
The incumbent also provides people and functional leadership and oversight to the teams. The incumbent does that with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
The Data Analytics Reporting Senior Manager embraces and implements visionary and creative analytics solutions to measure business performance and work closely with business leaders to help them to deliver on their mission.
Responsibilities
Manages a global analytics team in I ndia, Poland, Costa Rica
Support and promote the development of the team . Stives for a high performance, successful and engaged team
Defines and updates the department roadmap and budget and assures alignment with sr. Management and subsequent implementation
Coordinate the design, development and delivery of metrics, dashboards, scorecards, analyses, and data reporting across all the functions
Monitor Data Science trends and capabilities to identify the potential application. Works with IT and business stakeholders to develop respective business cases
Recommend best practices or innovative ideas to improve teams operating model, projects execution and collaboration with other stakeholders
Collaborate with IT to develop and improve reporting systems and programs and drive automation of regular reports, including self-service dashboards
Actively seeks and drives engagement with business partners and Sr. stakeholders to improve service level, but also to identify new possible service coverage
Coordinate and reports on transition of new services into the team
Ensure all procedural documentation is maintained up to date- Monitor the quality and productivity of the team s activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and on time delivery of agreed KPIs
Education
A completed master s degree in the field of Computational Science, Data Science Innovation, Business Analytics or any other relevant studies
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in people process management (Global Managerial role in Data Analytics)
Proven track record in leading data analytics programmes and projects with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Competences
Strong Leadership and team-development skills in a global setting
Expertise in efficient and successful stakeholder management at all organisational levels: Experience with GBS structures would be a big benefit.
Able to make decisions independently while presenting options in a persuasive and structured way
Strong communication and presentation skills (excellent command of the English language)
Ability to translate business challenges into executable concepts to deliver responses using analytical solutions
Proficient in project management
Knowledge of data transformation, data warehousing, and programming languages and tools like SQL, Python, visualisation tools like PowerBI, Tableau
Analytical skills (problem-solving, business process analysis, process mapping)
Experience working on global initiatives with colleagues of diverse cultures and expertise
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including solid capabilities with Excel and PowerPoint
