Roles and responsibilities

• Understand and research the business objectives of assigned projects
• Interact with clients/stakeholders to brainstorm, understand requirements, seek clarifications and propose technical solutions
• Work with business users, other system analysts and developers to design, develop and enhance application solutions and procedures
• Document requirements and interact with development teams to implement the solution
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development purposes
• Have consultative discussions with clients on solution designing and provide technical inputs
• Create project plans, report on progress to clients and keep track of project-related updates
• Create proposals, demonstrate working software and respond to queries related to it
• Lead the delivery of projects and work efficiently in an offshore/onshore model
• Act as an interface between clients/stakeholders and development teams
• Conduct research on best practices and industry/functional trends as required

Ideal Candidate

• 3-6 years of experience in business analysis/consulting/project management for software development projects, especially web-based applications
• Experience of independently working with UK/US-based clients and managing senior stakeholders
• Experience in successfully delivering software projects in a variety of domains, such as retail, financial services and procurement under time/cost pressures. Extensive experience in working with clients in the retail industry is preferred (but not essential)
• Undertaken multiple projects for in-depth understanding of business requirements and sought clarifying questions to understand them better
• A holistic experience ranging from requirements analysis to hands-on coding to team/client management responsibilities
• Extensive experience and expertise in
• Understanding data and analysing datasets to come up with trends and insights
• Gathering detailed requirements from clients and passing information to development teams
• Creating requirements/design documents, as well as proposals and MS PowerPoint presentations
• Working with MS Excel using in-built functions, reports, etc.
• User Acceptance Testing
• Experience in agile methodology approach and project management principles
