Roles and Responsibilities
Client Financing platforms provide technology and service to our hedge fund and Asia high-net-worth clients. Groups include Prime Brokerage, Private Wealth Management Asia and Counterparty Risk TechnologyWe are looking for a data engineering specialist within the Firm Risk Technology group. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic, dynamic, hands-on and delivery focused data engineering specialist / ETL developer with experience on data visualization tools.
You will be expected to work closely with our business users for projects. The development will be performed using an Agile methodology which is based on scrum (time boxing, daily scrum meetings, retrospectives, etc.) and XP (continuous integration, refactoring, unit testing, etc.) best practices. Candidates must therefore be able to work collaboratively, demonstrate good ownership and be able to work well in teams.
Responsibilities
Design, development and support of Data Ingestion Framework (using Informatica, Unix Shell Scripting, Python Scripting etc.)
Support data visualization Framework (using TIBCO Data Visualization, Qlikview, Power BI etc.)
Implementing DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code-utilizing tools like Git
Desired Candidate Profile
8+ Years of working experience on Data Warehousing projects and having very good understanding on Data Modeling and Methodologies (Enterprise Transactional Data Model (OLTP) and Dimensional modeling. Well versed with principles, techniques and best practices of data modeling).
5+ Years of strong development experience with ETL tool (ideally Informatica) and extensive experience in designing and developing of complex mappings, applying various transformations such as lookup, source qualifier, update strategy, router, sequence generator, aggregator, rank, stored procedure, filter, joiner and sorter transformations
1+ Years of strong development experience in UNIX platform, Python scripting and managing Autosys jobs
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
? Experience in closely working with application teams and managing all the DB related activities such as DB modeling, design, development, maintenance and support
Strong Skills in Relational Databases including database design, writing complex queries and stored procedures, performance tuning
Experience in integration of various data sources like DB2, Green Plum, SQL Server, memSQL, and Flat Files
Knowledge about Devops implementation in Data space
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and leadership skill
