Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate aspiring Data Scientist who has critical thinking ability, attention to detail, is good at making estimations, adheres to best practices of coding, has good fundamental knowledge of Math and Statistical concepts.

As a member of the Data Science team, you will be working closely with data and have to perform tasks such as understanding data from the domain perspective, Data Engineering, processing, cleaning and verification of data, data analysis and visualization, developing machine learning models.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Apply mathematical skills to treat data
• Conduct analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
• Use the ETL process (Extract, Transform, Load) to transform and consolidate data from multiple sources
• Apply your scientific knowledge and creativity to analyze large volumes of diverse data and develop algorithms to solve complex problems
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Provide recommendations on our ML and experimentation roadmap, proposing what to study and develop to bring ML methods
• Communicate insights and findings to the stakeholders
• Analyze the information, identify patterns and trends to build effective dashboards
• Utilize data visualization techniques to explain data and models to clients and internal teams
• Ensure that user guides, runbooks, and technical documentation are readily available and updated
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a functional team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or related discipline
• 1-2 years of work experience
• 1-2 years of experience in any programming language
• 1-2 years of experience in analyzing data with Python and/or R
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with coding machine learning/statistical modeling based solutions
• Experience in data analysis and visualization
• Good understanding of technology tools especially those related to analytics, data & modeling
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and technical writing skills

Leadership Skills:

• Positive and proactive attitude, ability to interact with many levels, ability to face and deal with challenges in a mature and professional manner
• Self-motivated, with proven ability to work efficiently and independently
• A team player, with strong interpersonal skills, who can collaborate effectively within and across the organization
