Job Description:

We and our extended team in Shell focus on Oil Market Analysis. We build complex data products around the fundamentals of oil market that provides innovative and often industry first insight that supports our commodities trading business. We are hiring a business analyst to join our product team. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain business concepts to technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities:

• Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including security, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
• Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the feature lifecycle.
• Describe technology in terms easily understood by business and business concepts easily understood by team
• Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements and provide value
• Performing user acceptance testing and guiding business stakeholder in the same where needed.
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to the team.
• Seek guidance from the Geneva community where needed and be open to learning on-the-job.

Skills & Requirements:

• Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
• Good understanding and experience of the various Agile frameworks
• Experience in Agile tooling (Eg. Azure Devops)
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• A history in successful product teams is preferred
• SQL skills are a good to have.
