Roles and Responsibilities
Job Purpose
- To lead a team of data scientists for –
- Developing cutting edge data science capabilities which are currently non-existent or are in nascent stage in team.
- Lay foundations of AI-best practices that can unlock full potential of data driven decisioning
- Demonstrating capabilities to minimizes dependency on external vendors for delivering cutting edge analytical solutions and thereby reduce TAT / cost or improve incremental revenue / relevance of recommendations.
- Ensure new capabilities and best practices are transferred to larger team through ‘build-operate-transfer’ mode.
- Taking lead in laying out foundation of analytical SOPs along with other vertical heads to drive standardization and creating institutional memory of insights / learnings from various analytical engagements and POCs.
- Regularly accessing and benchmarking internal analytical capabilities against industry leaders and laying roadmap for overcoming gaps
Job Responsibilities
- Leading and developing cutting edge data science capabilities in realms of AI
- Responsible for leading team for development of cutting-edge AI based solutions for superior performance
- Lay foundation for explainable AI (SHAP / LIME – Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations)
- Closely work with Data engineering and Microsoft azure team for seamless deployment of AI solutions
Drive proper utilization of analytical solutions by coordinating with various stakeholders and overcoming any roadblocks
Continuously review the efficacy of analytical solutions. Use new data, better set up and close loop feedback data for seamless improvement
Benchmarking of data science capabilities
- Regularly benchmark data science capabilities against industry.
- Identify area of development of data science capabilities and work towards bridging identified gaps
- Work towards creating best in class center of excellence team
Ensure knowledge transfer and democratization of cutting-edge analytical capabilities
Work towards ‘build-operate-transfer’ to democratize cutting edge analytical capabilities specially in realms of AI/NLP / Neural network/ transfer learning
Educational Qualifications
PHD / Post graduation or equivalent in highly quantitative disciplines: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, etc.
Key Skills
Minimum experience in years: 10+ years in advanced predictive analytics domain
Proven track record in developing and implementing AI based solutions in cloud-based environment, preferably in financial domain
Prior hands-on experience in development and deployment of cutting-edge data science techniques (including unstructured data and big data technologies)
Strong knowledge of data structures, analytical tools like Python
Proven track record in setting up Center of Excellence data science unit will be an added advantage.
