Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate who can assist the marketing/trading team with statistical analysis, logistics and operational aspects with the intention to gain sufficient experience to transition into a marketing/trading role. See responsibilities/qualifications below – this will be useful to form a work profile in case we use a recruitment agency.
Key responsibilities :
– Updating our power generation database covering thermal, solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, and gas generation, on a weekly basis
– Synthesizing electricity and steel data into a weekly marketing report that covers generation and pricing trends and tracks profitability of steel and power producers
– Preparing a monthly report covering thermal coal arrivals into India split by origin, updating installed capacities of renewable and conventional sources, steel and cement production, and Coal India production and stock position
– Monthly/quarterly tracker of financial / operational performance of major utilities and steel players
– Laytime calculation and settlement
Minimum qualifications
– BA in economics/engineering/business/finance
