Department Overview
The Supply Chain organization is responsible for the procurement and acquisition of third-party materials and services across PG&E, along with the company’s materials planning and logistics functions. The organization includes strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, supply chain responsibility, supplier quality assurance, materials planning, and materials delivery teams.
Position Summary
Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.
Job Responsibilities
Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data.
Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables.
Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
Manages small to mid-size projects; can operate independently
Develops complex models to review market trends, evaluate pricing, and quantify benefits in support of large scale, strategic RFPs.
Performs advanced analysis, benchmarking/market intelligence studies, spend analysis, and needs assessment in support of the development of portfolio and category strategies.
Leads process in requirement gathering, creation, implementation, and management of dashboards driving effective and clear visual management.
Serves as a liaison between Supply Chain and other departments (finance, business units) in support of Supply Chain analysis, KPIs, and data requests.
Technical Skills – MS Excel, MS Access, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, SharePoint Online, SQL etc.
Qualifications
Minimum:
BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
Job-related experience, 4 years
Desired:
MBA or graduate degree
Experience in Supply Chain and Sourcing, 3-4 yrs
CPSM Certified
LSS Certified
