Job Location: Chennai
The Data Engineer will analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain operational analytic solutions for all MatrixCare business units.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable and scalable data pipelines that support ingestion and transformation of data from numerous sources
- Design and construct data models to be used by reporting, analytics, and machine learning systems
- Create Power BI and Excel reports
- Generate artifacts including design documents, architectural diagrams, and data maps
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and propose solutions
- Analyze and organize raw data for ingestion
- Implement and automate build, test, and deployment
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices and standards are followed
- Deploy to, monitor, and maintain production systems
- Construct prototypes necessary to evaluate new tools, techniques, and technologies
- Maintain user stories in backlog
- Partner with engineers, data scientists, architects, product owner, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that exceed expectations
- Work across functional teams to ensure systems deliver data required for daily operations in a time sensitive manner
- Qualifications
- 5+ years experience data engineering, data warehousing, analytics development, or other relevant roles
- 3+ years experience engineering with Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Dataflows, ADF, SQL, PowerShell, and Tabular
- Experienced designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions
- Experienced writing and optimizing advanced SQL, Power Query, and DAX
- Expert in data integration patterns and technologies
- Hands-on experience setting up, using, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Agile development experience
- Bachelors degree with data science, data engineering, computer science, or similar major
- Standards and best practices champion
