Data is a central aspect of the operations at Mad Street Den . We are looking for a Data Engineer – Analytics to lead a team of highly skilled engineers and drive the strategic & technical roadmaps for the data platform. You will work closely with data engineers and analysts towards building scalable, reliable data-powered intelligent software systems on the cloud.

Skills we need:

• Collaborate with the engineering & analytics teams towards building a robust data engineering practice to improve the overall operational efficiency

• Design, architect and evolve multiple data systems and provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to your team

• Work closely with internal teams using your platform and help them deploy their services on the Cloud using data orchestration systems

• Engage with external and internal technical teams when necessary and manage the relationship

• Hire, build and nurture a team of highly skilled analysts/engineers to drive the strategic & technical roadmaps for the analytics platform

• Enhance the industry best- practices within the organization:

• Adopting good design principles of data lake, data pipelines & databases

• Prior exposure to designing relevant data models dealing with high data velocity and/or volume while ensuring the integrity

• Prior exposure to search engines, distributed systems & NoSQL databases

• Strong business sense and ability to collaborate with leadership and non-technical stakeholders on highly visible projects

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience working with data-centric technologies, leading skillful software & data engineering teams

• Proven code proficiency in Python and SQL

• Experience leading teams that work with Analytical data pipelines

• Experience with Spark (or equivalent) and building end-to-end modeling pipeline using PySpark, Spark ML, Spark Scala, SparkR or similar tools

• Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

• Experience working with multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP

• Educational background in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related fields
