Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (Voice Tech, NLP, AI / ML)
At Learning Matters, we develop EdTech products based on Voice Technology, AI / NLP,
MERN stack with microservices architecture to revolutionize the ed-tech domain
space. Our products are transforming the way teachers teach, and students learn at
schools, institutions, and universities.
What we are looking for in this Role
Learning Matters (LM) is seeking experienced and passionate Senior Software
Engineers and Technical Leads to join our Product Development team.
In this role, you will have a signicant impact on our business as you enhance the rst
impression of schools and institutions using LM products and how they continue to
bring efcacy in learning outcomes for their students. LM products are targeted
towards both schools (K12) and higher-ed institutions (PUC and Universities). This
being a full-time role requires the candidate to work from the company ofce located
in Bangalore.
Qualication & Experience
B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. or an equivalent degree in Computer Science
5 to 8 years of experience in software development (product or solutions)
What you will be doing
Design and develop products based on voice technology, web and mobile
applications.
Enhance product functionality, review bugs, perform RCA and address them.
Collaborate effectively, perform code reviews and mentor small teams in
delivering top-quality code and products.
Follow agile development methodology, company-prescribed tools and
processes.
Develop automation test scripts, unit and integration testing.
Document use case, products design and functionality as appropriate.
Contribute to use case estimation during release planning.
Mandatory skills: What you should have,
Strong at programming fundamentals in functional, object-oriented & data
structures.
Minimum ve years experience in developing software based on Python,
JavaScript / NodeJS.
Possess a good understanding of voice technologies. Amazon Alexa/Google
Assistant, NLP.
Ability to work in a startup environment; Flexibility to work on various
technologies based on business priorities.
Technical Experience
5 to 8 years of experience in developing products &/or solutions
Experienced in Python, NodeJS, Voice Technology, NLP, AI / ML, REST API
Experience one or more of – NLTK, Sagemaker, TensorFlow, Colab
Experienced RDBMS, SQL & NoSQL databases
Exposure to AWS Stack. Viz. Serverless, Lambdas, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, API
Gateways, Cloudwatch, CloudFront
Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Dockers, and Kubernetes
Ability to mentor technical teams of size 3 to 5 members
Optional: React, Angular, Mobile App Development
