Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track and ensure the quality of data delivered to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Designing, developing, documenting, and performing data quality checks across all data Pipelines.
- Work in conjunction with Data Engineers and Product Engineers to model, calculate and track data quality results.
- Create BI dashboards to highlight data quality content and overall metrics.
- Analyse incoming data feeds for completeness, content, and data expectation.
- Identify trends and analysis for data content across time and multiple other dimensions
- Analyse data content and identify gaps in metadata/reference data and standardizations
- Work with members of the Data Engineering, DevOps and Product teams in order to understand content and quality of data required to support production deliveries
- Develop and design quality solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying flow, data usage, and work processes; understanding data product needs across a suite of product/business deliverables.
- Create alert mechanisms for system issues, data quality issues, data receipt and completeness based on expected calendars and schedules
- Develop data quality and testing plans to validate KPIs & quality trends for the data across multiple systems
- Design, develop and implement automation testing, data quality processes and requirements
- Execute and automate test cases, and track data issues
- Develop scripts in SQL/Python/etc. to achieve data quality objectives
- Be part of the Agile team to collaborate and to help shape requirements
- Solve complex data issues around data integration, unusable data elements, unstructured data sets, and other data processing incidents
Requirements
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 1-2+ years’ experience in data/ product development.
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages and databases. (Preferred Python/ MySQL)
Keen interest in data and data led problem solving/ analytics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
