Roles and Responsibilities

Our team is working on multiple initiatives at a global pharmaceuticals company. The initiatives include Sales Reporting, Sales Recommendation Engine, Omni-channel Marketing and Customer Analytics. Each is a multi-year, high impact initiative for the company.

As part of this team, we are excited to welcome Data Engineers who will setup and operate the right Big Data tools, to ensure the right data is ingested, structured, and seamlessly flows to analytical and operational tasks downstream.

Our team is currently WFH but will work from the client location in Bangalore (ORR) starting in May.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Technical skills/qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in quantitative fields (Engineering, Maths, Statistics, quant Economics etc)
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Data warehousing (ETL/ELT), specifically with AWS Redshift
• At least 3 years of expertise in writing and debugging complex SQL queries
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with other related AWS services (Athena, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR)
• 2-3 years of experience in Data Model development, additional Dims and Facts creation and creating views and procedures, enable programmability to facilitate Automation
• 1-2 years of working on large programs in Agile/Scrum setups, with JIRA or other platforms

• Ability to execute and innovate in a highly dynamic environment, including strong prioritization and attention to detail
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a large matrixed team, including vendors
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills
• High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
• Ability to quickly analyze upstream and downstream impact for system changes

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior experience with US pharmaceutical commercial operations and data landscape
• Prior experience with building and operating data warehouses for omnichannel or personalized marketing
• Experience with analytical/visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI/Python/R)
• Certifications in AWS, Agile/Scrum and other relevant areas
