Data Engineer (Should have H1 Visa for US) II Joining Max 15 Days
Role Overview:
Data Engineer with experience in scripting tools for automation, data warehouse design, and cloud computing, including the associated solution design, planning, maintenance, and support.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise while defining requirements, solution designing, and process automation for EDA projects.
• Advance the creation of a centralized data lake that integrates client transfer systems.
• Contribute to the creation of a customer-centric business via the development, documentation and deployment of a core model in the data lake and recommend solutions and the use of industry standards when appropriate.
• Identify potential logic and data gaps within our current billing and reporting systems.
• Build transformed data marts and datasets to be used by reporting and data science teams.
• Refine and maintain clear and concise system processes.
• Ensure the integrity of data lake structures and employ appropriate data governance best practices and tools for both the data lake and core model.
• Establish, maintain, use and continually expand and enhance knowledge of data warehousing and data marts, BI and enterprise applications, data, and programming.
• Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration skills and work with people at various levels across the organization.

Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited four-year college in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or another quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of database and custom data warehouse design, testing, development, and architecture experience or equivalent experience working on large-scale systems or in business process design and engineering.
• Proficiency in developing, deploying, troubleshooting, and debugging cloud-based applications or complex, production software.
• Demonstrated understanding of Apache projects such as Spark, Hadoop, and Airflow.
• Strong development background and coding skills.
• Advanced knowledge of scripting tools for automation such as R, Python, etc. and familiarity with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, or similar tools.
• Comfortable in Linux.
• Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
• Experience designing and leading database performance benchmarks.
• Highly innovative, flexible and self-directed.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements and describe software product features and technical designs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in AWS services (EC2, S3, Athena, EMR, Glue) and understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices (including security and scalability).
• Significant experience in the de-regulated energy industry or the power generation industry.
• Knowledgeable of client terminology, concepts, and value chain.
