RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain deep understanding of reference and master data sets mentioned above, vendor data, and underlying data architecture, processes, methodology, and systems
Promptly analyze and resolve data quality issues raised by stakeholders and internal quality assurance processes
Define, develop, and maintain automated data quality tests and metrices, monitor exceptions and take corrective measures
Work with vendors to ensure timely resolution of integrity issues in their data
Respond to queries on data, definition, logic, and methodology raised by stakeholders
Define, document, and maintain data standards, user guides, definitions, methodology, logics, processes, and governance policies
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Mandatory:
A university degree, preferably in engineering
2 to 9 years of relevant experience in reference data audit/governance/management in capital markets data domain
Intermediate-level hands-on experience in SQL
Good understanding of primary sources of reference data such as KIID, prospectus, factsheet, regulatory and exchange filings, annual report, corporate registry etc.
Experience of working on data provided by one or more vendors such as Refinitiv/Lipper, Morningstar, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Compustat, FactSet, EDGAR, ICE, Thomson Reuters, IHS Markit etc.
Ability to fluently and effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams
Self-starter and quick learner
Should have an eye for detail and analytical skills for conducting quality checks
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment independently with little supervision
Good to have:
Microsoft/Oracle SQL Certifications
Professional courses or certifications related to capital markets (e.g. MBA, CFA Level 1, NCFM certifications and online courses)
Experience of data collection, methodology and/or data quality assurance in Funds space is a plus
