JOB DESCRIPTION
- Analyze raw data sources and data transformation requirements and perform data analytics and modeling against large data sets
- Analyze business requirements & functional specifications
- Able to determine the impact of changes in current functionality of the system
- Interaction with diverse Business Partners and Technical Workgroups
- Build and leverage healthcare domain knowledge
- Design data solutions based on high-level architecture
- Database architecture, engineering, design, optimization, security, and administration; as well as data modeling, big data development, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning and other similar roles
- May design schemas, write SQL or other data markup scripting and helps to support development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Either bachelor’s degree in data analysis or equivalent experience learning and performing data analysis.
- 1+ years of experience in data analytics
- Hands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Scala, Python, Unix)
- Ability to design, build, optimize, and manage modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics and machine learning features
- Ability to consume data from a variety of sources (RDBMs, APIs, FTPs and other Cloud storage) & formats (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON, Parquet, Unstructured)
- Ability to participate in architectural evolution of data engineering patterns, frameworks, systems, and platforms including defining best practices and standards for managing data collections and integration
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience developing reports utilizing Tableau or other visualization software
Healthcare domain experience
