Job Summary:

The job includes the research, data collection and analysis of data sets pertaining to manpower and other command operations metrics. The primary duties include the collection of data, merging and analyzing large data sets from multiple systems and using those metrics in data visualization and reports to command leadership. This position requires an advanced understanding of Excel and the ability to manage and understand multiple data sets.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan workload and meet established deadlines.
• Microsoft Suite w/ heavy emphasis on integrating and analyzing Excel workbooks.
• Experience working with databases (such as Access, Oracle or SQL) and report development.
• Ability to compile complex data sets into useful department wide accurate metrics.
• Organizing and analyzing large data sets for metric preparation.
• Experience with data visualization logic and use of Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Ability to communicate actionable next steps from reported metrics.

• Navy and/or Marine Corps related experience is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Navy/DoD manpower and experience with Advana and/or using Data Lakes, Cloud services, etc.
• Ability to learn data programs as required.
• Experience with Data models.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline plus 3 years of experience.
