Job Location: Hyderabad/Secunderabad
Lead Snowflake Data Engineer: Full Time Position
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data engineering pipelines into Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse on AWS
- Develop multiple incremental loads using AWS Services, Snowflake ELT Streams and Tasks or external ETL tools
- Code and test SQLs in Snowflake
- Create generic code templates and standards for reuse
- Participate in design and code reviews and provide suggestions
- Take ownership for deliverables from the team members
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of strong development experience in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (high performance Bulk Data Loads, SnowPipe, Streams, Tasks, SQLs, etc.)
- Must have played a Lead or Architect role on at least 2 Data Warehousing or Data Lake projects
- 3+ years of data engineering experience on AWS cloud platform using services such as S3, and Glue
- Must be good in coding SQLs
- Must have strong Data Warehousing conceptual knowledge
- Must have experience in incremental data ingestion and processing (real-time or near-real-time)
- Must be able to work on multiple tasks
- Must be a self-starter and willing to learn
- Must be hands-on
- Must be client-facing
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Spark (Python, Scala, or SQL) is a plus
- Experience in Python (pandas, pyodbc, snowflake.connector, os, etc.) or SQL Server Stored Procedures is highly desirable
- DataOps, or DevOps experience is a plus
- Experience in Talend or DataStage or Matillion is a big plus
