Job Location: Gurgaon, Bengaluru
Job Responsibilities :
– Conduct business analysis, from requirement definition to interacting with technical designers to delivering a novel and rich business solution on behalf of Product Team or clients.
– Work with and under the direction of a lead/senior analyst on client engagements
– Envision novel / best of breed solutions/company products or elements there off without significant input from clients in solutioning
– Has a view of what good looks like but draws on expertise from within the company.
– Act as an SME in at least one aspect of Reinsurance / Insurance Operations (Placing, Technical Accounting, Claims Management, Outward / Inward reinsurance) and an appreciation of the end-to-end process.
– Test delivered solution against requirements & scope delivered to Products Team
– Mentor junior team members to come up the learning curve, as required
Essential Skills :
– Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Data and Systems analysis using structured methods (e.g. UML) to define
1. Business requirements/use cases.
2. Business processes (e.g. BPMN techniques) including process optimization (as-is & to-be)
– [Some] Operations Transformation (and not just incremental development/medium change)
– [Either] Background as a practicing software engineer and with significant experience in the sector and exposure to processes and operations
– [Or] Practising Commercial & Specialty Reinsurance / Reinsurance business practitioner with broad experience of transitioning to the information systems career path with demonstrable experience in structured techniques.
Desirable Skills :
– Some Demonstrable experience of working in projects and business of international insurance markets (e.g. London, Bermuda, USA) (8-10 years +)
– Can be Broking or Carrier side
– Preferably has further experience outside of the sector and has a broader perspective on the use of information technology to transform businesses.
