Responsibilities
Location: Remote
The Senior Data and Reporting Professional generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Senior Data and Reporting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data and Reporting Professional develops and establishes strong and effective working relationships with Home Ops leadership and other departments.
Derives observations and insights from metrics to support and improve clinical operations.
Conducts independent research necessary to fully understand and correctly utilize the required clinical data.
Designs, developments, and delivers operational reports, dashboards and adhoc requests.
Continually identifies ways to improve and enhance current reports, increasing value and usability.
Collects and documents business requirements for reporting and analysis initiatives.
Interacts with IT and communicates data requirements and technology needs.
Role Essentials
Bachelor’s degree
5 or more years of experience in data and reporting
Advanced proficiency in SQL to query databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
Experience with BI Tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau, QlikView or a similar tool and knowledge of data visualizations and data modeling techniques
Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, especially around the ETL process of data extraction, transforming data into information, and loading information effectively
Able to mentor others in how to efficiently code and effectively design dashboards and reports
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership; Able to assist business leaders in understanding the “story” contained within or behind the data/report
High collaboration and consensus building skills; assuring that reports align with stated operational goals and/or strategic initiatives
Role Desirables
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Experience automating reports and processes using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Toad Automation, or other similar tool
Ability to optimize sql code to build efficient queries
Strong mathematic and/or statistical skills
Ability to see trends and provide advice regarding root cause(s) of any trend (positive and negative)
Ability to interview business owners to define the need/problem/desire of a request and understand how best to fill the request to drive value
