Roles and Responsibilities

1. Apply knowledge of quantitative and programmatic methods; expertise with data analysis tools and techniques; and critical-thinking skills to derive actionable information from data.
2. Distil complex relationships and large amounts of data into intuitive, informative, and descriptive reports and dashboards that will be used to empower operational teams and guide business decisions.
3. Drive the continuous improvement and overall state of data governance and quality across the organization.
4. Partner with business and project stakeholders to assist in the identification and documentation of business and data usage requirements, processes, needs, and key performance indicators.
5. Draw on your extensive experience and expertise to contribute towards the development and enhancement of best practices in key areas of data analysis, data warehousing, and data management.
6. Conduct a variety of data-related activities which will contribute towards the enablement of self-service reporting and BI capabilities for non-technical business stakeholder

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science. Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in a data management, analysis, and/or business/data analyst role(s).
2. Expert-level proficiency and extensive experience with the following.
3. Data Analysis: SQL, NoSQL, Python, Excel.
4. Business Intelligence: Tableau or PowerBI
5. Data-Warehousing
6. Data Governance

Practical working knowledge of the following areas:

1. Agile Development Methodologies.
2. Data Architecture.
3. Cloud Services: (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS).
4. Demonstrated experience solving business problems using quantitative analysis.
5. Working knowledge of construction-related best practices and processes an asset.
