Job Detail:
We are looking for a Junior Data & Research Analyst to join our business Bangalore, India. We are seeking candidates who are self-starters, are naturally curious and can work independently in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- At least 1-3 years experience in data
- An aptitude for drawing insight from data and problem solving
- Independently executing data extraction &/or cleansing techniques to enable data to be uploaded to proprietary information systems for reporting and mapping purposes
- Provide on-going support to projects used within the organisation
- Able to perform data enrichment/enhancements on GapMaps data sourced from third parties & reliable web sources
- Proactively identifies opportunities to optimise the performance and efficiency of existing processes/procedures
- Ensures proper escalation, prioritisation, and remediation of data quality issues.
- Make strategic recommendations based on data analysis to continuously improve the daily operations within the team
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and time management skills.
Experience & Education
- Bachelors degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science
- Experience with standard data entry systems
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel 2010, Word and Outlook, standard analysis
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Exposure to Microsoft Office skills, (eg. Excel) is a must
- Good technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to deal with large volumes of data
- Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritise and manage time and workload to meet client needs
- Working and conceptual knowledge of databases is a plus
- Experience in accessing and executing end-user reports and dashboards from any reporting tool is a plus.
- Power BI/ Tableau experience is a plu
