About Company:
US based product development company working in Healthcare domain is looking for a Microsoft SQL Database specialist to be in charge of all database activities.
Position: SQL Developer
Experience: 1 to 4 years
Role:
- Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.
- Ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate applications.
- Required to work with development teams for code development, performance tuning and deployment across multiple environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
- Monitor system’s health and performance.
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
- Provide suggestions for solutions.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server databases
- Knowledge of relational data modeling
- Knowledge of SSIS including development and deployment
- Experience using SQL Profiler and performance tuning
- Experience developing views, triggers, and stored procedures
- Knowledge of Power BI and report development
- Some experience working in the AWS environment.
- Must be familiar with both EC2 and RDS.
- Familiarity with database access and security
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures
- Strong understanding of database deployment processes
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Some familiarity with Healthcare data would be helpful
- Experience working in teams and individually to accomplish required tasks.
