Title- Application Programmer (Power BI)
Location- Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Hybrid; 80% Remote;20% Onsite)
Duration- Long Term Contract (C2C/W2)
Detailed Requirement
The primary duties of this role:
- Supporting the development of a new Temporary Assistance for Needy Families database and web application.
- Conversion of existing data into new platform
- Supporting the development of standard reports and dashboards
- Supporting the development of workflows and notifications
- Producing documentation on application architecture
Senior Application Programmer
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
- Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs and documents new and existing web applications, maintenance, and support of existing applications.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship and guidance to OTS and Customer-Agency staff for all requested work.
- Participates by providing feedback and detailed design and implementation approaches in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
- Performs all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.
- Individually meet with users to determine needs; write program and/or system specifications and guidelines for moderate size systems.
- Provide technical assistance to less experienced or less knowledgeable employees; serve as liaison between programmers and other supervisory personnel.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using technologies for the Enterprise Architecture usage in the building of this system.
- Eight (8) years’ minimum experience working in the application development field
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
- Power BI development
- Understanding of the TANF program in Louisiana
- Familiarity with Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services applications and databases
- Understanding of the Louisiana Office of Technology Enterprise Architecture components and security requirements
