The purpose of this Intern position is to actively engage, collaborate and propose process improvements (Digital mindset) across various workstreams of Digital Supply Chain in Global Supply Chain, Centre of excellence. Key deliverable will be ‘Bringing in scope of Improvement’ through a fresh eye perspective. Use of latest technologies to bring about excellence within Digital Supply Chain workstreams.

Work on Python based automations

Perform deep dive data analysis and confirm the root cause of data discrepancies (if any)

Understand the Business domain and should be able to correlate it with the technical work and data analysis

Learn and develop SQL code for large scale database

Develop Python code for various data pipelines

Develop and Publish high-standard, dynamic Power BI dashboard

Develops impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI and sharing those reports effectively using Microsoft Power Platform. These dashboards should be of a high visual quality (using standards for spacing, fonts, margins, colour pallet, flow, ordering).

Aligning with the other Eaton Stakeholder groups with respect to Dashboard design and content, to ensure that the Dashboards and tools being developed meet the business needs / expectations.

Researches and brings insight around what good looks like, for presenting data in the form of performance dashboards and business tools relating to ERP / transactional data and analytics.

Uses other tools to develop value business solutions that are not suitable for Power BI, including but not limited to: Python, Excel, Cloudera.

Working closely with other Business Groups within Eaton, including but not limited to: Material Master Data Management Team; Customer Master Data Management Team; Material Management Team; Product Data Stewards; IT Business Intelligence; IT; Supply Chain Shared Services in Pune (India) and outside India; Transport Operations: Distribution Operations; Sales and Marketing Analytics; etc

Quickly identifies trends/insights from complex data.

Creates visualizations and new uses of multiple data sources and shares it across organization.

Identifies new uses for data and its interaction with data design.

Locates data sources, analyzes statistics and implements quality procedures.

Develops, tests, validates and socialises predictive and prescriptive models.

Identifies opportunities to collect new data.

Implements automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.

Designs, modifies and builds new data processes.

Collaborates with stakeholders, IT, database engineers and other scientists.

Develop and deploy business tools that add value to Eaton, business, customers and shareholders

Dealing with both day to day queries (operational) and development of new tools to support processes or give insight (tactical)

Interpreting the business requests to describe changes that would be needed

Working with the Product Owner to work through change requests

Creating BRDs with descriptions of changes to be made, including PowerBI changes and Impala coding changes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business or equivalent work experience
Understanding of and ability to use programming languages like R, Python and SQL (Structured Query Language)
Displays superior data visualization abilities
Displays superior technical coding abilities
Python knowledge
Knowledge of different types of Databases (Relational, Graphic…)
Strong Data Manipulation skills, working with large datasets
