Job Location: United States

The Business Analyst Intern will work within a cross-functional team to help develop DMSi’s ERP Software, write reports, conduct research, analyze data, and make recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Gather requirements from customers via various methods.
2. Participate in design discussions, user story writing sessions and estimating meetings,
3. Write user stories including acceptance criteria and scope statement.
4. Work with the Product Owner and mentor BA to understand the project scope.
5. Perform user acceptance testing/customer reviews and present internally in bi-weekly demo.
6. Complete high-level testing of projects after code completion.
7. Review test plans and user documentation.
8. Participate in other Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning and Sprint Retro.
9. Team members are expected to leverage their primary skill area but be open to learning and helping with other skill domains with the focus on completing the team’s work.
10. Provide oral and written status to project lead and management.

Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Business Analyst practices.

Strong analytical and organizational skills. Learn to work in a multi-tasked environment.

Ability to effectively communicate and solve problems.

Must possess a desire to learn and takes initiative and strives for continuous improvement.

Have a strong desire to interact with peers and customers and have a true passion for improving the customer experience.

Excellent verbal communication; must be comfortable and willing to openly discuss work items within a cross-functional team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Computer Science, MIS, or other technology-related fields.

A solid understanding or ability to understand the software development lifecycle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal office environment with the use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.
