Role: Business Analyst – Capital Market BA and Pl SQL Support : Tool Helix
Location: NYC, NY – Onsite from Day1
Contract Duration: 11 Months
Description
The Capital Markets IT group is looking for a talented Business Analyst with a balance of technical knowledge and business acumen.
Person should apply creativity, business understanding, analytical processes, critical thinking, experience and project management skills to create, document and implement application solutions for internal initiatives and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with business (Repo Traders) to understand strategies and interpret underlying business needs
Propose and design technology solutions and transform them into clear business and technical requirements
Work with project manager to achieve successful implementations
Utilize query tools to confirm data quality and investigate questions
Track, resolve and escalate issues for production issues as well as projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informed
Required Skills
Financial Services industry experience & Capital Markets Domain knowledge is a must
Business knowledge of Repo & Security Lending, Risk & Collateral management
Must have knowledge of settlement and clearing business
Must have knowledge of the full development testing lifecycle
Must have knowledge and experience in Microsoft SQL Server
Must have hands-on SQL server creating store procedure, tables join, triggers, cursors
Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to achieve deliverables
Must have knowledge of Shell scripts
Tools: Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Visio, Power Point, Word, SharePoint, Service Now and JIRA.
To have knowledge of Control-M or other scheduling application
Knowledge of ITIL, integration across IPC (Incident, Problem & Change Management)
Experience On Helix Repo & Helix SL Is Preferred
Strong skills in developing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
Qualifications
Master’s with 3 or more years experience or Bachelor’s with 5 or more years experience
Capital markets domain experience – MUST
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
