HL7 Interface Engineer
Responsibilities
- Work closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements
- Python scripting and ETL processes
- Lead and manage integration projects with customers and third-party vendors (EHRs, billing, etc.)
- Create interfaces from scratch and document new interfaces for projects
- Support, troubleshoot, upgrade, and audit the interface engine
Qualifications
- Substantial knowledge of HL7 version 2.x message types and segment/field mapping (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Basic proficiency in operating systems/networking
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience working with Mirth Connect (or similar) interface engine
- Experience with JSON/RESTful APIs
