What you’ll achieve

In this role, you will be responsible for cost & risk assessment for new technologies and timely communication to management by conducting market intelligence analysis, tracking commodity price trend and managing product cost variations. You will also be applying advanced analytical concepts to arrive at the accurate should cost for Notebook and Desktop carcass and associated commodities

You will:

• Operate, Improve and Maintain should be cost models by reflecting actual manufacturing process and embrace new technologies adopted in the manufacturing line
• Employ data driven approach to improve cost estimation accuracy and negotiation efficiency, and drive better communications with Dell suppliers
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities in product design and manufacturing process, ensuring cost targets are met
• Align with key stakeholders and suppliers to develop process improvement initiatives to maximize asset velocity and reduce Dells total cost of ownership using mathematical models and simulation tools
• Create fact-based report to senior leadership team in support of Dell global supply chain and procurement decisions, covering concept to design phase and phases in end-to-end product lifecycle

Essential Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PPT, SQL and Risk Solver (Database and Statistical Tools)
• Strong understanding of Should Cost fundamentals and associated cost drivers
• Strong understanding of manufacturing costs – material, labor

• Desirable Requirements
• Prior experience in developing should cost models in the context of PC/ electronics manufacturing industry
• 2-3 years of experience in the field of analytics
• BTech/B.E. and or MBA from premier institutes.
