Senior Database Analyst / Specialist

Desired Candidate Profile

Understand the overall business and IT landscape and recommend best practices related to databases
Own the responsibility of enterprise databases
Experience of around 13 years
Review the existing databases and propose improvements
Implement the best practices in database programming and re-engineering
Own and lead:
Database schema, designs, security & performance
Power BI platform including building & maintaining SSAS based reports
Well versed in –
Strong experience with MS SQL server
Strong experience with Power Queries, DAX & SSAS
Should have designed Database schema including indexing and optimisation for performance.
Should have strong experience in database maintenance & performance optimisation
Should have strong experience in data migration
Should be hands-on with T SQL
Should have worked on ETL using Microsoft suite of products
Should have worked on Data storage, archiving and disaster recovery procedures/strategies
Work with several different data sources including but not limited to SQL Server
Good to have (but should be keen to work on):
SQL server analysis services
Experience in modelling data in Star Schema
Exposure to Elastic SQL Queries, SSIS and R
Azure SQL Databases
Database Administration activities
Exposure to SQL in Docker
Should be a hands on person who can implement productivity improvements including usage of tools and best practices
Provides POC (Proof of Concept) for any new technical solutions
Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and up- coming vendor products and solutions.
Deep Knowledge and hands-on experience on design for new dimension technology such as Analytics, Big Data etc
