Job Location: Fort Washington, PA
Primary Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist supports the Data Architect and other Data Scientists with the design, development, automation, build out, analysis, application, and assessment of the data models for the company and the customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, validate, and troubleshoot data science models using public or internal tools and metrics.
- Perform stringent data checks to identify and address inconsistent data issues and leak variables
- Analyze output from automated tests to identify significant changes or issues in new customer data.
- Build out necessary configuration files to deploy customer models in production environment.
- Communicate data science results and insights to other team members and our customers.
- Automate or help automate as many manual data science activities as possible.
- Drive data-informed analyses
- Demonstrate both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Perform the common data processes: Query, verify, clean, impute, etc.
- Communicate your outcomes via reports, visualizations, dashboards, and code notebooks.
Qualifications
The candidates should ideally possess the following qualifications:
- Have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, EE or equivalent training and experience in IT customer support, application implementation, and system management.
- Experiences in IT and regulatory compliance work in pharmaceutical and medical related jobs are desirable.
- Possess genuine and personal interest in computer systems, demonstrated by proactive efforts to acquire knowledge, develop skills, and pursue excellence in service to clients.
- Possess, or have the ability in quickly developing, the following knowledge and skills:
- Minimum 1 year industry experience in solving machine learning and data science problems using Python required.
- Proficiency in libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn is a plus
- Capacity to work independently and/or as part of a team
- 2+ years of industry experience doing analytics work as described above.
- Work experience and a proven track record with Python, R, SAS, SQL.
- Experience with NLP, free text analytics.
- Willing to do some off-hour work, be a team player, be customer focused.
- Possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills
