Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Mandatory skills:- Looking for Strong ITBM resource with experience in Resource Management, Demand and PPM. Prior experience of workspaces is desirable

Software Engineering is responsible for the delivery of software, which may include new development, configuration, maintenance and installation of third-party packages, and software integration efforts. It may include tasks from every part of the software development lifecycle, including software and website design, development, programming, and software deployment (both the installation and decommissioning of software).

  • The Software Engineer role is within a growing Agile DevOps team for ServiceNow.
  • The ServiceNow DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the development and support of the ServiceNow landscape and you will also be the technical expert for the applications/modules in ServiceNow under your care.
  • The present requirement is for building the ServiceNow integration with Azure DevOps using ServiceNow’s Enterprise DevOps offering. The role requires a pro-active/independent, strong software engineering skilled individual that knows scripting techniques, Pipeline design using flow designer, use of integration hub and software development/delivery methods (SDLC, CI/CD).
  • An advantage is when the candidate has experience of building ServiceNow integration with other enterprise solutions (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Development experience on ServiceNow ITSM and expertise in Flow Designer is a must and experience in GitHub, Azure DevOps (Boards, Test Manager, Pipeline, etc. is an added advantage).

Accountabilities

Ø Working across ServiceNow Platform and associated modules like : ITOM, ITSM, GRC.

Ø Working on ServiceNow integrations using Integration Hub and Flow Designer

Ø Design, build, test and document solution end to end

Ø Work in Agile projects as a Dev engineer to deliver solutions for enhancements to be delivered in a sprint.

Ø Working in larger projects as developer to support initial implementation of new ServiceNow features.

Ø Knowledge transition from external implementation partners for new modules

Ø Keep technical expertise up to date

Dimensions and Special Challenges

Ø ServiceNow system used by entire Shell (100 000+ users) across the globe

Ø The current ServiceNow platform uses ITSM, ITBM & LSM modules with future modules like ITOM & GRC/SecOps being planned for implementation.

Ø Virtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams and across many organizational boundaries (within and across IT support and delivery organizations, incl. suppliers)

Ø Managing multiple delivery priorities, multiple demand requests and complex (integration) issues

Ø High degree of application, technology and SaaS landscape complexity and integration

Ø Working as one team with business support teams to ensure seamless development and deployments of changes and maximum added value for the business by proposing continuous improvements in line with the business needs and strategy

Mandatory Qualifications And Skills

Ø Hands On experience as a software engineer

Ø HTML5/CSS/AJAX/.Net/Java/Webservices/GlideRecord

Ø Client Side and Server Side Scripting / Client & Server API’s/SaaS integration services

Ø ACL & debugging

Ø COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf Software)

Ø Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development and continuous delivery

Ø Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures

Ø Understand basic fundamentals of CICD process, concepts of Integration and Deployment Pipelines

Ø Understand incremental delivery and use metrics to track progress against the intended time-line

Ø Experience in working in agile/scrum delivery teams/DevOps

Ø Self-starter and able to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority

Ø Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization

Ø Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style, both face-to-face and virtually

Ø Good English communication skills both verbal and written
