Job Location: Noida

• Carry out on-ground and desktop-based research.
• Develop detailed engineering and technical models to analyse the performance of solar systems and build computational tools.
• Build financial and business models to evaluate IRR, NPV, LCOE, and Payback.
• Conduct policy research on the basis of results of technical and financial models.
• Analyse the existing solar policies and identify gaps along with remedial measures.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders with proper documentation.
• Publish research findings in reports, policy briefs, journals, conference papers, op-eds, and white papers.
• Work on multiple projects to ensure they are completed within the given timeframe and budget .

Qualifications Experience

• Graduate or Post Graduate (MS/ME/MTech), with a specialisation in Sustainable Energy/Renewable Energy/Energy Economics.
• 1 3 years of experience in the field of research, policy development, project development, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in the area of solar energy.
• Prior experience in writing reports, policy briefs, white papers, and articles.
• Technical research experience will be an added advantage.
• Skill Set
• Sound understanding of the Indian solar energy industry and project development.
• Ability to use MS office tools effectively and prepare outcome reports.
• Expertise in the field of solar PV performance, electrical characteristics, shading analysis and impact on energy generation.
• Strong mathematical background and knowledge of solar geometry calculations.
• Experience working with simulation tools such as SAM, PVSyst, HOMER, HelioScope, etc.
• Experience in developing simulation models in MATLAB-SIMULINK (or equivalent).
• Exposure to programming languages such as JAVA, MATLAB, PYTHON will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Ability to work with strict deadlines when needed.
• Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks on time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
