- This job role will be responsible for gathering the requirements, providing the work estimates, preparing functional design, performing testing & leading production implementation of Transportation logistics IT solutions.
- Responsibilities include writing functional specification documents and integration test scripts.
- Incumbent will demonstrate expertise in the end-to-end workflows in transportation domain and should be able to coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to provide right solutions.
- This role requires close collaboration with business teams to understand As-Is processes, identify functional & non-functional requirements and translate them into software requirements.
- This involves the collection, analysis, and prioritization of requirements from the product management, support and business sources.
- The role is viewed as skilled in IT development methodologies, application development and troubleshooting of distributed application.
- The position manages the completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
- Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent works in close collaboration with peers & other IT teams.
Role Responsibilities – Functional & Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain & expertise in transportation logistics (International & Domestic planning, Inbound, Outbound, Multi-mode – Ocean, Air, Ground, Freight Analytics, Consolidation, Optimization etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in any of the standard industry solutions for transportation planning such as Blue Yonder (jda) TM, Infor Nexus (GT Nexus), Oracle/SAP TM etc.
- Demonstrated functional analyst skills with E2E exposure of application life cycle (Waterfall and Agile methodologies)
- Demonstrated expertise in leading requirement gathering session with business & operations team
- Perform requirement analysis and translate that into functional specifications understandable by programmers/testers
- Creates and maintains well designed and written test plans
- Assist the Project Manager (Development) & Team Leader (Support) in the execution of project schedules
- Own functional solution and be the single point contact for the technical team on requirements
- Good knowledge on SQL queries, object-oriented/Functional programming & IT Architecture
- Experience in troubleshooting complex customer issues. Apply advanced debugging techniques including tracing, and performance deviations.
- Experience in one or more relational databases such as Oracle, MYSQL

- Proficient in IT application development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
